Use Writing tools → Vocabulary to save preferred spellings. You can also spell a one-time sequence of letters or numbers.
Save a spelling
- Under Add a spelling, enter a name or term, such as AcmeCloud.
- Choose Add spelling. You can separate several entries with commas or new lines.
- Check that the entry appears under Saved spellings with no save error.
- Dictate a sentence containing it, then review the finished text.
What to expect: a matching recognized term such as “acmecloud” becomes “AcmeCloud,” including your capitalization and accents.
Saved spellings do not train speech recognition. If TessFlo hears a different phrase, such as “acme cloud,” use a word replacement. Spellings match whole words or phrases, not fragments inside longer words.
Email addresses, URLs, and identifiers are protected. If a dictation contains these, TessFlo may skip spelling changes for that dictation.
Edit or remove a spelling
Find the entry under Saved spellings. Choose Remove, then add the corrected spelling if needed. A search appears for larger lists.
Changes apply to future dictations. They do not rewrite history or text already pasted into another app.
Spell out a one-time code
- Turn on Spell out next dictation.
- Check for Ready to spell the next dictation.
- Start recording and say each letter or number separately.
- Stop and check the result before using it.
The switch normally turns off after the next dictation is processed. Check it before retrying a cancelled or failed attempt. Spelling a code does not guarantee it will be recognized perfectly.
