Check the status TessFlo shows: downloading files, checking installation, or preparing a model to run. Each needs a different next step.
Download failed
- Check your internet connection and free disk space. Installation needs more space than the download size.
- Read the error in Settings → Models, or Writing tools → Writing cleanup for Light Cleanup.
- Choose Retry download or Download, if offered. Speech-model retries start again and may transfer the full download.
- For Light Cleanup, use its retry action. It may reuse part of an interrupted download after checking it.
- If cancelling, wait for cancellation to finish before retrying.
Keep any working model installed. Downloads need the internet, even though recognition runs locally afterward. Declining a notice or agreement is not a network failure.
Transfer reached 100% but the model is not ready
Keep TessFlo open while Checking model… finishes. Reaching 100% means the transfer is done, not that installation is complete.
Do not start a second download while checking is active. Use Cancel download if you need to stop and it is offered. If TessFlo offers an installed alternative, you can use it meanwhile. Leaving the page and returning should not restart a valid installation.
Downloaded, but preparing or unavailable
Preparation loads the model for use; it is not another download. Read the status and try the available Start or prepare-again action. First use, or returning after a long idle period, can take longer.
You can cancel a start or recording without deleting the model. For Light Cleanup, check memory eligibility, memory pressure, its agreement, and Improve completed dictation. Speech dictation remains available when cleanup cannot run.
If the same error repeats, contact support with the model, exact status and error, free disk space, and whether another model works. Avoid manually deleting caches or resetting unrelated models.
